Al Lim is a PhD candidate at Yale in the combined anthropology and environmental studies program.

His doctoral research explores the social ecology of crypto in Thailand, drawing on economic anthropology and Southeast Asian studies. His work has appeared in Urban Geography, Environment and Planning E: Nature and Space, and The Journal of the Siam Society.
